De halve waarheid at Graphic Matters 2017

Festival Graphic Matters has begun! And so did our project De Halve Waarheid / The Half Truth.
We already had a great start with the first of 5 weekends where will be present and doing our best at the festival.

Every weekend of the festival you can join us and make your own pamphlet with our Risograph (stencil) printer. A pamphlet is always printed on both sides, a pro on one side and a con on the other side. You are responsible for the distribution of the pamphlet. The opposite messages spread confusion and instigate debate outside of your trusted social media bubble.

Breda's hottest newsroom starts as an exhibition of 12 riso posters made by six duo's of artists and writers. Together they visualize the pros and cons of current dilemmas. The arguments are so damn good that the dilemma's never get resolved and the only thing left for you to do is to buy these limited prints to hang over your bed.

The Half Truth posters are made by artists Jan Hamstra, Jeroen de Leijer, Maia Matches, Bobbi Oskam, Jip Piet, Steppie Lloyd Trumpstein and writers Anton Dautzenberg, Joke Hermsen, Ted van Lieshout, Nick J. Swarth, Christiaan Weijts and Micha Wertheim.

The 6 sets of posters are for sale at the festival shop in a limited edition of 50 per poster, so grab them while you can! Risograph printed on A2 format by Knust Press Nijmegen.

On October 1st we will launch the new issue of Wobby at the festival during Radio WobTit, where you can meet the artists of the project.

Wobby.club will be present at WIELS Art Book Fair 2017 in Brussels, Belgium on Saturday 09.09 & Sunday 10.09.2017.

WIELS organizes for the third time in September the WIELS Art Book Fair presenting over 50 artists, publishers & collectors who offer art books, artists’ books, photo books, catalogues, periodicals & other printed matter to the public. Wobby #10 Launch

Last week we launched Wobby #10 with the Gladiatori del Arte presented by Twan van Bragt, a Kenjezelf Kit interview by Jeroen de Leijer with Nick Liefhebber and Jip van den Toorn and a spectacular and hilarious competition of the Gladiatori del Arte.
And of course beer.

Lancering Wobby 10 ‘Assistenza Stradale’

Ahhh de zomer!

Iedereen weet dat vakantie niet alleen maar ijsjes eten, naar blonde spetters lonken en aan cocktails lurken is. Er gaat gelukkig ook wel eens iets mis.

Op vrijdagavond 21 juli is het Tilburgse NS16 in zomerse sferen tijdens de lancering van het tiende nummer van het beste blad van het heelal: Wobby. Het thema van deze editie is ‘Assistenza Stradale’. Voor wie nog nooit autopech in Italië heeft gehad: Assistenza Stradale is de Italiaanse wegenhulp en diende als inspiratiebron voor de tekenaars en schrijvers van deze zomerse Wobby-editie.

Wobby.club (Jeroen de Leijer, Marjolein Schalk en Steppie Lloyd Trumpstein) ging voor dit nummer over de grens en vroeg nationale en internationale schrijvers en tekenaars een bijdrage te leveren: Twan van Bragt, BURNBJOERN, Jeroen Funke, Nick Liefhebber, Davide Bart. Salvemini, Jip van den Toorn, Andrew Tseng en Daan Heerma Van Voss.

Vrijdagavond 21 juli kun je voor of na een kermisbezoek (om de hoek) getuige zijn van de eerste ‘Wobby Gladiatori del Arte': een Groots Spektakel waar gladiatoren elkaar met viltstiften te lijf gaan.

Voor de broodnodige introspectie is er een Kenjezelf Kit Gesprek door Jeroen de Leijer, er zijn meeslepende korte films van Jip van den Toorn en Roel Sloot en Twan van Bragt draagt zijn tragikomische verhaal voor. DJ Dieter laat ons de meest zomerse deuntjes horen (dansen mag) en het bier staat koud en is goedkoper dan een suikerspin.

Zondag 18 juni is Wobby.club te vinden in Breda tijdens de eerste editie van Marché Hoezee in Breda.

• Marché Hoezee is een kleinschalige kramerij, een creatieve en bijzondere markt, met prachtige producten. Een plek om te blijven hangen met een drankje of wat lekkers. Radio WobTit Live

Saturday April 1 Wobby.club and De Titaan hosted Radio WobTit live from Tilt Festival, the biggest literary festival of the South of the Netherlands.

Radio WobTit was a live radio show with interviews with a.o. artist Paul Bogaers and writer Maartje Wortel, a radiocolumn by Gerjon Gijsbers (all guests of Wobby #9) and the famous Wobby Masterclass. Also live in the studio: Herman Brusselmans, De Optimist en Menno Wigman.

At last: the first English edition of Wobby!
Wobby is a Dutch Risograph printed, thematic magazine, published by Wobby.club;

Wobby Wonderland

From December 9th until December 11th Studio De Leijer/Wobby.club organised the first edition of Wobby Wonderland as part of the Tilburg-based festival Incubate.

It took place at our homebase NS16 in Tilburg. Activities included a.o lectures, a zine/comicfair and the launch of the first edition of Wobby in English!

Wobby Wonderland at Incubate

From December 9th until December 11th Wobby.club will be organising the first edition of Wobby Wonderland as part of the Tilburg-based festival Incubate.
