✏️ WOBBY’S WORK-SHOP
(English below)
During the Illustrada Festival on 6 and 7 September, Wobby Club is hosting a free workshop program where illustration is used as a tool for dialogue and expression. Under the guidance of Dolle Mina’s Tilburg, Keanu Schipper, and Qult, you’ll actively take part and see your results printed on the spot using a risoprinter - a fast, colorful, and experimental printing technique. At the same time, a special exhibition will be on view in the pop-up shop to celebrate 10 years of Wobby. Check below how to sign up for the workshops.

✏️✊ Workshop Activist Poster Designing with Dolle Mina’s Tilburg - 6 Sept - 10:30 - 13:00
On Saturday morning, we’re hosting a workshop together with Dolle Mina’s, a feminist action group known for their bold and creative protests for women’s rights in the 1970s. Now they’re back - because the fight for (gender) equality is far from over.
Guided by Dolle Mina’s, we’ll engage in a critical discussion about the topic ‘Public safety on the streets’. The personal stories, experiences and insights shared during the discussion will be transformed into powerful, activist posters. These posters will be created using analog techniques such as drawing, collage, stamping, and hand lettering, and then printed directly on a Risograph printer - giving each piece a bold, vibrant look that reinforces and spreads the message loud and clear.
Admission is free, but spots are limited, so sign up here.
✏️🖼️ Workshop RPG Character Creation with Keanu Schipper - 6 Sept - 14:00 - 16:30
Keanu Schipper is a multidisciplinary artist with Surinamese and Dutch roots. Influenced by comics, manga, and game culture, his work spans graphic design, illustration, and zines. He also created the artwork for this post.
In this workshop, the participants will draw and design their own autobiographical character for use in role-playing games. RPGs have historically centered white characters in both design and narrative. This workshop offers an alternative: creating characters rooted in one's own identity, personality, and (cultural) background - making space for representation, diversity, and personal storytelling in a genre that often lacks it.
Admission is free, but spots are limited, so sign up here.
✏️🌈 Workshop Activist Poster Designing with Qult - 7 Sept - 12:30 - 16:00
On Sunday we’re teaming up with Qult, a queer community from Tilburg that celebrates and supports queer voices. Together, we’ll dive into the theme ‘Queer & Safe’, exploring safety in public spaces from a queer perspective - a voice often missing in mainstream debates.
Through dialogue and shared stories, participants will create activist posters as personal and political statements. This creates a direct link between content and form: what’s discussed is given a voice on paper, both literally and visually. No drawing skills needed - express yourself through image, text, color, or collage.
Admission is free, but spots are limited, so sign up here.
