Wobby.club is the platform for autonomous illustration and visual art in the Netherlands. They have been publishing and printing the magazine Wobby at their studio in Tilburg since 2015. Wobby showcases quirky illustration, comics, visual art and literature by various international artists and is sold worldwide. All products, including Wobby, art prints and other publications, are risograph printed: colourful stencil print based on sustainable, plant-based ink. Wobby.club engages with creators on the fringes of mainstream culture and aims to show that illustration, drawing, and literature can be sharp, autonomous, subversive, or activist.

Wobby #41 - Get well soon

Wobby #41, themed ‘Get well soon’, is co-curated by Dutch artists G.C. Heemskerk and Kim David Bots. This issue explores the layered meaning behind the familiar phrase, often found on greeting cards, expressing both the hope of recovery and the reassurance that someone is thinking of you. In this Wobby, thirteen artists offer their interpretations of what recovery means to them, and how we can find healing and comfort, both individually and collectively.

Wobby #40 - Critter Tales

Wobby #40 - Critter Tales is the fourth issue with a guest curator, this time in collaboration with Enter Press, an Italian artist collective and riso print studio. This issue shows a view of diverse and fantastic worlds in which everything can transform into something else, populated by critters (small and crawling beings, creatures or animals), where objects can talk and natural elements and landscapes come to life and live together; a world without hierarchies or dichotomies.

“If we could listen to the stories of all the living beings—those walking and those moved by the currents, those still and those crawling, the fast ones and those too slow to even be noticed, words from any speaking creatures and from those just mumbling some sounds, those with a quick-witted tongue, the shy ones, and even those lurking unnoticed—what would those tales be? Here are some glimpses of arboreal and underground memories, dreams of cockroaches, the guilty feelings of a forgetful winged insect, festive parties with pea pods and horned dudes, boring guests and those too big to fit in the house, nutritional tips by a wise egg, obnoxious philosophy books, a down-to-earth vegetable soup, and a chatty primordial one. A small peek into biiiiig and tiiiiiny worlds to bring you to a place where everything can transform into anything else, where everything is alive and coexisting, without hierarchies or strict dichotomies, short stories that want to celebrate the power of imagination to warm you up in the sharp and cold nights of this winter.” Enter Press

Wobby #39 - Local Liar

Wobby #39  – Local Liar is the third issue created with a guest curator, this time in collaboration with the Dutch artist initiative FOULPLAY/SOMETIMESBAKERY, with curator Caz Egelie.

Local Liar (Lokale leugenaar) – a title taken from the name local newspapers have gotten in the vernacular. During a deep dive into a museum archive for a 2020 exhibition on local histories, Caz was introduced to the phenomenon of “Local Liar” for the first time - a local newspaper that spread local news. Fables, neighbourhood myths, news facts, and ads tumble over each other, all trying to convince the reader of their truth. For Wobby #39, the artists were invited to reflect on this theme, resulting in a collection of "local lies" that together transcend the local.

Wobby Workout
Wobby Workout is a work period at our studio in NS16, Tilburg. In this focused and individual setting, artists can explore and experiment with the Risograph printer, fostering the development of innovative ideas and working methods. Previous artists include: Fiona Lutjenhuis (NL), Indrė Svirplytė (LT/BE), Mika Schalks (NL), and Zach Jansen (NL/ES).

These residencies lead to the production of limited-edition prints and publications, which we distribute through our webshop.

In the summer of 2025, multimedia artist Marina Sulima (born in Moldova, living in the Netherlands) joined us for a residency. During her time in the studio, she explored how drawing and printing could merge, treating the Risograph as an extension of her practice.

Commissions
Wobby.club is available for a wide range of commissions, including the production of printed matter such as publications, prints, posters, and other graphic materials. In addition, we assist with the development, organisation, and realisation of events, for example art fairs.

Wobby is also available for workshops, either on location or at our studio in Tilburg. While we are specialised in Risograph printing, we also offer workshops in drawing, zine-making, and other hands-on, print-related practices, tailored to different audiences and skill levels.
