September was a busy month for Wobby! We hosted several workshops and took part in different events throughout the month.
During Illustrada Festival, we hosted Wobby’s Work-Shop, a free workshop weekend, where young people from all across Tilburg, with different stories and perspectives, came together to explore the connection between themselves and Tilburg. Together, they made the zine Mijn Tilburg / My Tilburg.
At Cross Comix Festival in Rotterdam, Wobby was part of the Makers Market, where visitors could discover and pick up the latest Wobby issues. Marjolein Schalk also hosted Wobby’s Riso Sketchbook Workshop, where participants could make their own risograph sketchbook, made out of test prints.
At the Festival der Mislukking, we explored the unpredictable side of risograph printing in our studio in Tilburg. Across four workshops over two days, participants worked together in small groups to create designs, which were combined and printed, resulting in surprising visual combinations.
We also celebrated the reopening of Theater De Nieuwe Vorst in Tilburg, with a free drop-in risograph workshop. Visitors could draw something festive and contribute to a series of colourful postcards made with our risograph printer.
It was a month full of illustration, risoprinting, workshops and creativity!
